These people have been imprisoned for years in horrific prisons like Manus Island, Nauru, Kangaroo Point Hotel, Brisbane Immigration Transit Accomodation and Northern Immigration Detention Centre in Darwin.
Now, finally, after fighting for their freedom they have a chance to live and to start their lives on the other side of those walls.
Freedom is more than the ability to walk outside—it’s the ability to eat well, to sleep somewhere safe, find community, and to engage in meaningful work in order to live.
We, the community, can help these freedom fighters find that.
We are once again asking for the support of your networks to provide support for each person. Anything extra will be saved for those who need extra too.
We don’t care what visa people are on. Everyone should we welcomed generously here.
